Political awareness and Panchayati Raj perception of grass root level leaders was studied by surveying 32 male and 18 female leaders. The findings of the study revealed that the knowledge of female leaders was found significantly lower than male leaders regarding political process and understanding of rules and functioning of Panchayati Raj Institution.
