Feasibility of mushroom processing for income generation

Processing of mushrooms is one of the most profitable economic activities which has tremendous potential for income generation. Experiments on the most common methods of mushroom processing like drying, pickle and chutney making were conducted which were demonstrated in the field situation. To find out their feasibility in mushroom growing units. Regarding the feaslbility of mushrooms, it was found that majority of the respondents perceived mushroom processing as easy to understand and use, profitable, physically and culturally compatible, observable and triable technoiogy.
