Spermatozoal dimensions of Rathi cattle

The present investigation was undertaken to study the sperm dimensional characteristics of Rathi cattle. The overall averages of different spermatozoal dimensions alongwith their standard deviations were found as: head length, 10.044±0.643 μ; head width, 5.460±0.399 μ; head base, 2.712±0.300 μ; head shape, 1.814±0.193; head area, 38.552±0.680 μ2; acrosomal cap length, 5.179±0.290 μ; acrosomal cap width, 4.947±0.400 μ; tail length, 62.890±4.219 μ and toal length, 72.172±4.553 μ.
