It is pertinent to see the impact of green revolution on the farmers' income distribution in the light of ongoing debate regarding increasing income disparity. The study was conducted in 1994–95 in Agra District of UP. Farm size was three times higher in large category than in smaller category, the cropping intensity was significantly higher in small category than in the large. Large farmers had the assets about six times higher than the small farmers. The trend in liabilities was similar. The rate of income growth was 380 percent in case of large farmers and 189 percent in case of small farmers. Input output ratio was 3.35 and 2.81 for the respective categories. It indicates that the debate favouring expanding income disparities in post green revolution era has some substance as the farm efficiency was found to be directly correlated with the farm size and clear symptoms of Reversal of Inverse Relationship (RIR) were observed in the study.
