Abstract

The study was conducted in three districts of Haryana viz., Rohtak, Sonepat and Bhiwani (both rural and urban areas) on 180 girls aged between 14 to 15 years; taking level of aspiration as a dependent variable arid. socio-economic status as an independent variable. Level of aspiration was assessed with Shah and Bhargava s test (1987) and socio~conomic status was ascertained with Bhardwaj and Chauhan's Scale (1989). The study revealed that majority of respondentsooth rural and urban had average level of aspiration. A significant association has been found between socio-economic status scores and level of aspiration.
