The study was conducted in Emakulam district of Kerala. Data were collected from 120 randomly selected society members, using interview schedules. The overall training index was found to be low. Among the different areas for training need in dairy farming, health care practices ranked first followed by feeding and breeding areas. The management practices ranked last in the training need. Only education and social participation were negatively and significantly correlated With training need index.
