Abstract

Studies on 118 buffaloes belonging to three breeds showed that the overall least square mean for milk letdown time was 154.19±5.56 seconds. The milk letdown time was influenced significantly (P<0.01) by breed of buffaloes, parity order, stage of lactation and with or without calf, and significantly (P<0.05) by time of fodder feeding and shift of milking.
