Abstract

Study revealed that anthropometric measurements reduced with age. Suggested dimensions for elderly included height of ironing board 75.5 cm with width of 54.7 cm, seat height of easy chair 33.5 cm, with seat width 44.7 cm, seat depth 52 cm, height of backrest 86.5 cm and angle between back and seat 105°. Depth of work seat of should be 40 cm and height of table 72 cm. Height of bed should be 33.5 cm. In kitchens, maximum height of storage shelves is suggested to be 151 cm, sink rim 82.3 cm, level of general worktops 78.8 cm, with maximum depth of 64.7 cm, maximum height of electric switches 119.5 cm, fixed mirror 139.5 cm, window sills 130.5 cm. and washbasin 83.8 cm.
