MRS agar and LBS agar and streak plate method were found to be good for isolating and determine lactobacillus from raw milk. Lactobacilli comprised 46.15% of the total bacterial load among which L. delbrueckii ssp. bulgaricus and L. acidophilus were 27.69% and 18.46% respectively.
