Participation of village women leaders in community action programme was estimated with the help of 100 Gram Panchayat, 40 Panchayat Samiti and 20 Zilla Parishad during 2001–2004. The result revealed that participation of women leaders in village developmental, religious and social activities were fairly moderate, while in agricultural developmental activity it was better.
