Profile of red khandhari bull rearers in marathwada

Red Kandhari is the prominent cattle breed of Marathwada region. The cows are low producers of milk but have high breeding efficiency. The results indicated that source of income was the major motivational factor for red kandhari bull rearing while majority of the Red Kandahari bull rearers possessed upto 5 years of experience in bull rearing and having home born bull. The major constraint expressed by the bull rearers was high prices of concentrates.
