Edentulous state is usually associated with elderly population.facial changes naturally occur in relation to aging process. When teeth are lost this process is grossly accelerated with more rapid facial aging. The loss of teeth can add ten or more years to person's face. The aim of this review is to analyze various changes associated with aging and exacerbated by complete edentulism. These changes can be improved upon, especially in the lower facial region by giving a complete denture to the patient.
