Abstract

Proper debridement of contaminated system is paramount as a pre condition for successful treatment. This depends on meticulous removal of contaminates from within the anatomic irregularities of root canal. Considering the claim of the new various systems being marketed for effective biomechanical preparation, we carried out the study to evaluate the various techniques available for cleaning and shaping the root canals; viz. hand instrumentation, ultrasonic system and profile system with the help of SEM for proper debridement of canal and opening of dentinal tubules. Profile give maximum result followed by ultrasonic and hand instrumentation.
