The optimum temperature, optimum pH, incubation time and substrate concentration was determined for three digestive enzyme viz., invertase, trehalase and amylase. The optimum temperature for invertase and trehalase was 45°C and for amylase it was 35°C. The optimum pH for amylase, invertase and trehalase was 6.0, 5.6 and 6.4 respectively. The substrate concentration was 3% sucrose for amylase and invertase and 1% trehalose for trehalase. The Km values for amylase and trehalase was 0.45 and for invertase it was 0.569 respectively. The incubation time varied from enzyme to enzyme and it was 60 minutes for trehalase and invertase and 30 minutes in the case of amylase respectively.
