Abstract

Laboratory studies on the feeding deterrent activity of various doses of neem formulations i.e. neem leaf extract, seed kernel extract and biologically active compound azadirachtin against Epilachna vigintioctopunctata revealed that these formulations have potential to deter feeding activity of the experimental insect. The feeding deterrent activity of all the neem formulations was affective in dose dependent manner. Neem seed kernel extract detered feeding efficiency of Epilachna more effectively which decreased slowly in comparison to pure azadirachtin as exposure period increases.
