Abstract

The toxicity of eleven insecticides to second instar larvae of Spilosoma obliqua (Wlk.) was studied. On the basis of LC50 values, the descending order of toxicity was: deltamethrin(0.00313) followed by cypermethrin (0.00601), fenpropathrin (0.00921), fenvalerate (0.00952), fluvalinate (0.01556), endosulfan (0.01914), methyl parathion (0.02057), and monocrotophos (0.02786). Diazinon, triazophos and acephate were found ineffective.
