Four types of Trichogmmma chilonis Ishii were collected from different habitats and places (Type I, jute; Type II, Lantana camara; Type III, paddy from Kalyani; and Type IV, mazie from Delhi) to study their morphometric and biological attributes. Significant differences were recorded among the types with regard to the ratios between longest ahtennal hair and width of the atennal flagellum (2–2.5), and fringes on forewing and width of the forewing (116–117). The types differed significnatly in respect of their rate of parsitisation. They were, however, at par in duration of life cycle and sex ratio. Type 111 collected from paddy ecosystem was the most efficient searcher of host eggs on paddy plants. It is apprehended that existence of intermediate types are natural in Trichogramma chilonis Ishii which may be designated as ecotypes.
