Four species of Hypnoidinae, viz., Hypnoidus quadrimaculatus sp. nov., H. dermestoides Herbst, Monadicus colocassius sp. nov. and M. pyrusus sp. nov. are described and illustrated. The colour of body, comparative length of 2nd and 3rd antennal segments, shape of segments fourth to tenth and comparative length of prothoracic carinae constitute the distinctive characters at species level. These species were collected from the agriculture, vegetable and forest habitats of Himalayas of northern India.
