Abstract

The effect of certain plant products, viz., biosol, neemark and repelin used either alone or in combination with quinalphos and acephate was studied on the spotted boll worm, Earias viltella Fabricius under field conditions during kharif 1988–89. The damage was assessed on the basis of shoot and squarelboll damage in cotton. Quinalphos and acephate were significantly superior over all the plant products in reducing the per cent damage to cotton shoots and squares/bolls. Insecticides exhibited synergistic effect, when used along with plant products.
