A comparison of the male and female internal organs of reproduction of five species of Ampedus, viz., multinotatus Vats & Chauhan, fonceatus Vats & Chauhan, unicoloris Vats & Chauhan, binotatus Vats & Chauhan, and scutoplanus Vats & Chauhan has been given. There is a single median testis consisting of six follicles invariably. It is U-shaped in A. fonceatus, A. multinotatus and A. binotatus, and C-shaped in remaining species. There are three pairs of glands in all the species. The appendix of lateral accessory gland is terminal in a. scutoplanus and subterminal in others. The vas deferens is dilated to form seminal vesicle in A. multinotatus and A. unicloris. A pair of ovaries is present in all the species. The genital chamber is divided into bursa copulatrix and vagina in A. binotatus and A. unicoloris. The spermathecal duct is non-chitinized in A. binotatus and A. multinotutus, but partially chitinized in other species. Spermathecal diverticulum is present in all the species.
