Descriptions or rour new species or the genus Haedus Distant along with a key ror their identification have been provided. H. grewii sp. nov. on Grewia villosa (Willd) (Tiliaceae) can be readily recognised rrom allied Ethiopian H. cirratus Drake by its smaller size and shorter antennomeres. Its uniseriate areolation or the paranotum, biseriate areolation or bucculae and the striking subapical constriction or the hemelytra, clearly differentiate it rrom the other three new species. H. ruthii sp. nov. on Pterospermum obtusifolia Wight (Sterculiaceae) can be distinguished by biseriate areolae or paranotum, triseriate areolae or bucculae, and by the biseriate arrangement or th areolae or subcostal area, and its longer antennirerous tubercles and straight hemelytra. H. yacoobii sp. nov. on Triumfetta pilosa (Tiliaceae) can be separated by the presence or irregular areolae or the subcostal area, short antennirerous tubercles, and in having anterior pterostigmal elevation. H. manii sp. nov. on an unidentified shrub can be readily distinguished by the quadriseriate areolation or its bucculae, anterior and posterior pterostigmal elevations, and subscostal area having hexagonal areolations, interspersed with subquadrate cells.
