Abstract

Protein concentration, phosphatase and esterase isozyme patterns in 5-day old, fifth instar larval haemolymph were studied from selected lines of two different voltinic races of Bombyx mori. Total protein concentration was 1.2-fold higher in bivoltine strain (NBI8) than in multivoltine strain (Pure Mysore). Electrophoretic analyses of both the enzymes revealed 6–8 bands among different lines. However, these isozymes showed different electrophoretic mobilities.
