A new species of Merismomorpha Girault (Chalcidoidea: Pteromalidae) from north India

M. yousufi,a new species of Merismomorpha Giult has been described in detail and illustrated. The new species differs from the known Australian species in having F₁ as long as F₂, slightly longer than wide; stigmal vein unusually thin. Australian species, on the other hand, have F₁ always anelliform, half as long as F₁; stigmal vein moderate sized. The type material is deposited in the museum, Department of Zoology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh (India)
