Abstract

The feeding deterrent activity of Neemark (80% neem extract water miscible formulation containing azadirachtin) was evaluated against the third instar larvae of hairy caterpillar, Spilosoma obliqua Walker by leaf-disc dipping method. The damage within 48 h of feeding was significantly reduced over untreated check. The antifeedant activity over control ranged between 6.7 per cent at the lowest concentration (0.313%)and 86 per cent at the highest concentration (5%).
