Abstract

Different changes in shape of Tropilaelaps clareae Delfinado Baker female introduced in Apis mellifera L. cells were studied at an interval of 24 hours. The thickness of female doubled from 0.32 mm for those moving freely on combs up to 0.64 mm for females during the egg laying period. All the introduced females died 5 days after their introduction in the cells.
