Fifty-seven pea germplasms were evaluated against the leaf miner, Chromatomyia atricornis Meigen during 1992–93 and 1993–94. No line was foond to be highly resistant to its attack (zero maggot/pupa per plant). Only two lines, viz, JP 826 and DPH 65 were consistently resistant (1–20 maggots/pupae per plant) during bulh the years. These two germplasms can either serve as direct introductions in the endemic areas or as donors in pea hreeding programme. Nine lines, viz, Ronneville, DLP 563, EC 66, EC 173949, L 116, PWS 18-6, RS 251, Sel 93 and Sugar Giant were consistently highly susceptible to the leaf miner (> 40 maggots/pupae per plant). Those categorised under moderately resistant (21–40 maggots/pupae per plant) to the leaf miner were highly inconsistent in their reaction.
