Susceptibility of four wheat cultivars to rose-grain aphid (Acyrthosiphon dirhodum Walker) was evalated on the basis of productive and growth parameters. Rearing on these cultivars showed that these were susceptible to rose-grain aphid. Two cultivars, viz., 0230 and 892–212 were classified as highly susceptible varieties, 852-97 as moderately susceptible variety, and 882-80S was designated as less susceptible variety. Additionally, the cultivar 852-97 was moderately susceptible to rose-grain aphid, while highly susceptible to oat bird-cherry aphid in relation to other cultivars. This suggested that identification of resistance or susceptibility of a specific cUltivar to target pest and secondary pests at the same time has an added significance in the evaluation of resistant varieties.
