With the description and illustration of a new species, viz., Monadicus amriki, this genus is now represented by three species from India. Combination of some significant charaders keep this species distinctly separated from all the species reported under this genus. These characters are: elytra margined at posterior end, apical 3 antennal segments extending beyond posterior angles of pronotum; scutellar surface marked with broken, transversely place curved ridge and metasternum truncate between mesocoxae. The species has been named after its collector, Dr. Amrik Singh Chambal. A key for the identification of Indian species of Monadicus Candeze is provided.
