Four new species, viz., Phaenoserphus keralensis, P. transversus, P. sureshi, P. longigena from Kerala have been described along with their affinities. P. keralensis comes close to P. partipes in general appearance but differs from it in the nature of propleura, occipital carina and propodeum. P. transversus differs from P. keralensis in the proportion ofthe median longitudinal ridge on propodeum, transverse nature of head and comparative measurements of petiole to hind coxae. P. sureshi can be distinguished from P. transversus in having longer gena, longer hind coxae and smaller pterostigma. P. longigena differs from P. sureshi in the nature of tht petiole and comparative measurements of pterostigma with radial cell and ovipositor to hind metatarsus. A key to Oriental species of Phaenoserphus Kieffer was prepared for easy identification.
