Abstract

Chilo partellus larvae infesting maize were found parasitized by Apanteles sp. during September 1994. The extent of parasitization varied from 35–50 per cent. During this period, the mean maximum and minimum temperatures were 26.6 and 18.6°C, respectively, and the mean relative humidity was 67 per cent. Adult parasitoids emerged up to the second week of October 1994.
