Notodontidea chui Meicai has been redescribed in detail on a uniform systematic pattern due to its quite insufficient description of species to distinguish future species of this genus, if discovered. The characters of great taxonomic significance i.e., ratio of various structures on head and of antenna1 segments; structure of clypeus, median fovea, postocellar area and of various furrows on head and body sculpture, are described. The detailed illustrations pertaining to hypopygium, lancet and front view of median fovea are also provided. Some significant characters, viz, forewing veins Rs+M joining M at junction of Sc+R, wings uniformly infumated, are proposed for consideration at generic level.
