Tenthredo subflava with its subspecies T. subflava victorialis was erected by Malaise in 1945 on the basis of mesoscutellar punctation and minor colour variations. Later in 1987, Singh and Saini erected a species T. valvurata taking ringle male specimen. Since the external genitalia of both sexes of these species possessing such negligible population varlrtions are exactly similar, T. subflava victorialis and T. valvurata are suppressed into synonymy to T. subflava Malaise. This species is redescribed and illustrated on a uniform systematic pattern.
