Abstract

The survival of ectoparasitic mite, Tropilaelaps clareae Dellinado and Baker, was studied under laboratory conditions at 29±1°C. The male qnd female mites survived up to 6 and 8 days, respectively. The mean longevity of male and female was 3.49 and 3.66 days, respectively. The average male to female ratio of T. clareae in the colonies of Apis mellifera Linn. was 1:4.3.
