Three species of Tenthredo Linnaeus were collected from India. Two species, viz., T. altotubercula and T. podaferrugina are described and illustrated as new to science while the thirq one, viz, T. pulchra Jakovlev is redescribed and illustrated. T. altotubercula can be separated from its allied species T. auratotarsus Singh and Saini as tergites 3–5 ferrguinous (tergites 2–5 reddish brown in latter), circumocellar furrow distinct (absent in latter), postocellar area broader than long as 2:l (53 in latter), metabasitarsus shorter than following 3joints combined (equal in latter), and mesepisternum without carina at apex (short carina in latter). The characters distinguishing T. podaferrugina and its allied species T. pulchra are: clypeus subtriangularly emarginate (subrectangularly incised in latter), femora, tibiae and tarsi of all legs ferruginous except extreme black bases of all femora (black except pale anterior aspect of proleg in latter), only tergites 3–4 above reddish (complete abdominal segments 3–4 reddish in latter), median fovea distinct (almost wanting in latter), and black part of abdomen without any tinge (with cyaneous tinge in latter).
