Excretion of urea by the developing sixth instar larva of the moth, Orthaga exvinacea Hampson (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae)

Urea is found as a minor nitrogenous end product in the excreta of the sixth instar larva of Orthaga exvinacea Hampson. The concentration of urea varied from 0.92 to 13.22 μmole/g during development. The urea is of metabolic origin.
