Distribution pattern of the diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella (L.) larvae was studied on cabbage, variety Golden Acre, grown under conditions prevailing in Delhi. It was based on various indices, viz, variance mean ratio, dispersion parameter ‘K’, David and Moore's index, Lexis index, Charlier coefficient and Lloyd pachiness index. The larval population followed aggregated distribution pattern throughout the crop growth period during the two consecutive rabi seasons (1997–98 and 1998–99).
