Abstract

Relative antibiosis of wild species of Crotalaria against the top shoot borer, Cydia (Laspeyresia) tricentra Meyr. was assessed in the laboratory. On the basis of intensity of larval feeding and per cent mortality, C. retusa was as susceptible as C. juncea, C. sericea (EC-180181) exhibited the highest antibiosis amongst Crotalaria species evaluated. The Crotalaria species were arranged on the basis of antibiosis as C. sericea (EC-180181)> C. sericea > C. mucronata > C. vearrucosa > C. juncea > C. retusa.
