Field evaluation of cnstard apple (Annona squamosa. L. and neem (Azadirachta india A. Juss.) formulations against castor semi-looper (Achaea janata. L.) indicated that reduction in the larval population 72 and 24 h after treatment respectively was 58.89 to 66.70% by Annona oil concentrate 2.5 EC, 46.45 to 58.52% by neem seed kernel extract 1500 ppm EC, 48.28 to 56.80% by Annona oil 36 EC + neem oil 36 EC, and 45.96 to 55.10% by Annona oil 72 EC. The activity of botanicals decreased to some extent 3 days after treatment.
