The efficacy of certain contact organophosphorous insecticides, viz., triazophos (EC 40%), acephate (EC 75%), monocrotophos (EC 36%) was evaluated individually and in combination with neem oil (EC 0.03%) (azadirachtin 300 ppm) against the whitefly, Dialeuroporo decempuncta (Quaintance & Baker) infesting mulberry in the field during September–October, 1998. The per cent reduction of whitefly population was maximum in plots sprayed individually with 0.1% triazophos (68.30), followed by 0.1% acephate (65.50), and 0.01% monocrotophos (49.89). Amongst the combinations of neem oil 1% separately with each or these three insecticides neem oil 1% showed the maximum per cent reduction (77.35) with 0.1% triazophos followed by acephate and monocrotophos.
