Cryolite (@2000 ppm and 6000 ppm) effect on food consumption, digestion and utilization indices of third instar Spodoptera litura (Fab.) was studied in the laboratory. During the three days of cryolite treatment, consumption Index, growth rate, approximate digestibility and gross eiffiency values were significantly low. The values recouped on fourth day when crylolite treatment was withdrawn. However, net emciency or food utilization was not recovered.
