For managing the linseed bud fly, Dasyneura lini (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) relative efficacy of nine insecticides was tested among which lamda-cylohethrin treated plots provided significantly low bud infestation (14.51%) with highest grain yield (12.83 q/ha) giving net monetary return of Rs. 13104.60 followed by monocrotophos. The maximum cost benefit ratio 1: 36.65 was recorded in monocrotophos followed by lamda-cylohethrin (1: 32.96).
