Abstract

Host range test of entomopathogenic nematode Steinernema feltiae conducted under laboratory conditions against 17 insects. It was infected against 13 insects while three insects viz., Holotrichia serrafa Fab., Nilaparvata lugens Stal., Aphis craccivora Koch and one natural enemy, Cheilomenes sexmaculata Stal. were found to be non-hosts. The nematode multiplied in all the hosts, but to varying degrees. The most favourable host was, sugarcane internode borer, Chilo sacchariphagus indicus Kapur while the poorest one was Odontntermes brunneus Hagen.
