Abstract

HaNPV was found to be inactivated within 1–2 days on exposure to sunlight and within 1 hour when exposed to germicidal lamp. An extract of mango leaves was tested for its potential as UV protectant with HaNPV and was found to delay sunlight inactivation of the virus for about 4 days, and prevented inactivation upto 4 hours on exposure to germicidal lamp.
