Insecticides belonging to different groups were evaluated in the field against diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella L. on cabbage. Cartap hydrochloride 0.05%, deltamethrin 0.002% endosulfan 0.07% and imidacloprid 0.01% gave maximum larval mortalities. Achook (neem preparation) was least effective against larval population of P. xylostella.
