Abstract

The larvicidal effect of Baciltus thuringiensis sub sp. kurstaki (Btk) was found almost comparable to that of Monocrotophos against the 1st, 2nd and 3rd instar larvae of Calopepla leayana Latr., a monophagous defoliator of Gmelina arborea Roxb. Btk may emerge as a potential inexpensive eco-friendly bio-pesticide in forest tree protection in the forthcoming era.
