Abstract

The potential of the NPV infected dead cadavers In epizootic spread of the disease is accessed by taking the Polyhedral occlusion body (POB) counts of diseased larvae of S. litura infected by SINPV on cabbage. The old larva on an average yielded 1.53×109 POBs/larva and the young larva yielded 7.95×108 POBs/larva suggesting that the dead cadavers have enough inoculum for further spread of disease.
