Studies on biology of Hypotheriemus hampei (Ferrari), under different temperature regime revealed that the rate of growth, development and reproduction were highest at 31 ± 2°C. The measurements of head capsules of larvae indicated the presence of 3 instars. The mating system was inbreeding with a male to female ratio of 1:10.
