Abstract

Studies undertaken from 1981 to 2000 on the relationship between midge fly incidence and some abiotic factors revealed that, the midge fly incidence was positively and significantly correlated with the minimum temperature and relative humidity with ‘r’ value of 0.4233 and 0.4451 respectively, where as negative and significant correlations were observed with maximum temperature and morning relative humidity with ‘r’ value of −0.8627 and −0.6353 respectively. No significant relationship was observed with rainfall.
