Abstract

Search for alternative flora competing with sunflower for foraging of honeybees indicated that the mustard was most competitive flora with sunflower, on an average 6.21 bee visited/minute/m2 area while the least prefered flora was maize where 0.66 bee visited/minute/m2 area. The maximum number of bee visits were 5.87/minute/m2 area at 12.00 noon while the least number of bee visits were 3.44/minute/m2 area at 4.00 P.M.
