Nearly 10 alternate hosts of rice hispa adults were found supporting the pest population in the absence of actual host rice, of which Andropogen gayanus, Chrysopogon sp., Carex sp., Sorghum halepense, Imperata cyclindrica and Themeda anathera were reported for the first time from Himachal Pradesh.
